2023 Power Rankings - Week 13

Rank (LW) Logo Team Record Rating Comment
1 (1) CTR 8-4 104.57 The Triumph won a high scoring affair in which they scored 174 points to push their win streak to 4 games. With the victory, they clinched a playoff spot and won the Red Division. It brings their number of divisional championships to 11, which is 3 better than the next best, one being the Rattlesnakes who they just beat out for the banner.
2 (2) SH 8-4 101.65 The champs had a hell of a week where they scored 169 points which is the fourth highest point total this season. However, they played Chicago so they will go down in history as one of the highest point totals in a losing effort. The win would have given the White Division a clean sweep over the Red Division.
3 (4) LAB 9-3 96.02 The Bombers are still in control of the #1 seed after their 43 point victory over Detroit. LA went off for 159 points and everyone scored double digits except for the tight end (Isaiah Likely) who had his first FFL start. Kyren Williams returned from injury and won POTW honors. And Johnathan Taylor had his first start for LA in week 12 despite being traded to them in week 10.
4 (3) FW 7-5 92.89 The Pistons were down 27 points heading into the MNF contest with D.J. Moore left to play. It was a pretty defensive battle, but with 1 minute to go in the game, Moore caught a 36 yard pass to tie up the game and force overtime. When the smoke had cleared, Fort Wayne lost by .05 points or 1 passing yard. Even though it was a heartbreaking defeat, they did earn a playoff spot.
5 (7) SD 6-6 84.45 The Surge have endured an up-and-down season, but at this point of their journey, they were relishing in an upswing. After scoring a season low of 86 points, they came back to have a season high of 164 points. San Diego had their best week from their running backs where both of them scored at least 25 points.
6 (5) TB 9-3 84.10 The Blizzard won their fifth straight game to put them into position of getting the #1 seed. They were extremely lucky to win this week because they had the second lowest score with 91 points. Justin Fields barely sealed the deal as they drove the length of the field in final 2 minutes to get a FG and pick up crucial yardage and a completion bonus.
7 (6) DEN 6-6 82.82 The Diamonds emerged victorious and won back-to-back games to put them on the cusp of a playoff invite. Denver has not been involved with the playoffs recently, missing the tournament 4 times in the past 5 seasons. NFL rookie C.J. Stroud had another amazing week (his 3rd career FFL start) where he scored 47 points.
8 (8) SF 5-7 70.70 The Rattlesnakes are cold as the playoffs approach losing their last 3 games. They can no longer win the Red division but they do hold the coveted last playoff spot. San Fran has a nice little streak of making the playoffs with 6 in a row. It's crazy to think that they could pull this off despite losing their first round pick Nick Chubb in week 2.
9 (9) DET 4-8 70.29 The Devils were blown out to put their playoff chances in jeopardy. As it stands, they are the #9 seed. They do not have complete control of their playoff fate but they do play the #8 seed in week 14 if they can survive against Atlanta this week. Detroit is 10-2 in their last twelve games played in Week 13.
10 (10) ATL 3-9 69.14 The Jesters won their 3rd game of the season in an overtime thriller over Fort Wayne. They still have a mathematical chance to make the playoffs, but every outcome would have to go in their favor. Atlanta has missed the playoffs the last 3 times it has been an odd year (2021, 2019, and 2017). 2023 would follow that pattern.
11 (12) ND 3-9 65.74 The Nimrods' streak of making the playoffs is on life support after dropping their fourth straight game. With the loss, they clinched their first losing season since the 2015 season. Also, they have yet to win a non-divisional game going 0-7. This is their last opportunity to win outside of the Red Division as they take on Fort Wayne.
12 (11) ANA 4-8 64.34 The Commando Cats lost for the third straight time where they failed to break the 100 point barrier in just as many games. Anaheim is in a free fall and now have become the league's lowest scoring team. They still have a chance to make the big dance, but they must beat the Rattlesnakes, otherwise their championship dreams are over.
